Application Process
The procedures for applying to the Prince Philip Scholarship are closely tied to the application to the University of Cambridge through UCAS, as shown in the steps below.

Apply to Cambridge University via UCAS
Applications to Cambridge and all UK universities must be made through UCAS.
Submission deadline for 2027 entry: 15th October 2026

Submit application form and required documents
Complete the Scholarship Application Form, which must be endorsed by your School Principal, together with other necessary documents as set out in the Application Guidelines.
Submission deadline for 2027 entry: 15th October 2026

Applicants shortlisted and interview invitations sent
Shortlisted candidates will receive invitations for interviews in January or February.
Time of interview notifications for 2027 entry: January to February 2027

Scholarship interviews
Scholarship interviews usually take place around January and February.
Interview period for 2027 entry: January to February 2027

Notification of Scholarship decision
Applicants will be notified of the Scholarship decision around March.

Means test
Scholarship candidates who have received conditional offers will be invited to undergo a means test to determine the value of the award they will receive.
Date of means test for 2027 entry: From end of March 2027
