To be eligible for the Prince Philip Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

Have ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than seven years at any time in the past;

Hold a valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card;

Applicants with Home Fee status in the United Kingdom are not eligible.

Not already registered as a student in any university or tertiary education institution, whether in Hong Kong or overseas.

What is the minimum age at which the Scholarship accepts candidates?

There is no age requirement for the Scholarship.  However, if you are under 18 on admission, you are encouraged to check the Cambridge website to see if you are subject to additional requirements and restrictions.

Must I be currently attending school to apply for the Scholarship?

Yes.

Can I apply for the Scholarship a second time?

Yes, but not if you are already a university student elsewhere.

What academic qualifications are acceptable to the Scholarship?

No preference is given to a particular examination system.  HKDSE, GCE A-levels, IB and many other national examinations at an equivalent level are equally acceptable.
